This year's Annual Ideas Exchange will be held on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and will be hosted by the Oakland University Writing Center.

Organizers
Sherry Wynn Purdue, Pamela Mitzelfeld, and Michelle Geck

Theme
This year’s theme invites participants to consider how assumptions, myths, and misconceptions limit the services we offer and the clients we reach. We welcome presentations on such issues as:

• Expanding the disciplines we serve (we aren't simply an extension of peer review for composition classes). How has/might your writing center reach out to those who write and teach within the social sciences, natural sciences, human sciences, etc.?

• Extending our services to teachers, graduate students, faculty, staff, and the outside community;

• Changing perceptions that writing center services are only remedial in nature;

• Anticipating the needs of diverse constituents, including those with neurological, auditory, and visual challenges in addition to those of different nationalities, ages, ethnicities, etc.; and

• Reconceptualizing the way we deliver services and with whom we deliver our services.
